Chief James Heavey has announced that the Greenwich Police Department has hired a new officer to fill a vacancy created by recent retirements.

Steven Frano will be sworn in as a member of the Department on Monday, April 2, in the Town Hall Meeting Room at 11 a.m.

 He will be required to complete an 18-month probationary period beginning April 2.
